William B. Watson was born about 1812 in Tennessee. He married Emily, maiden name unknown. Emily was born in Louisiana on one Census and in Tennessee in another. They had four children born in Louisana one in Arkansas on one census and in Louisana on another. There were three children born in Arkansas, one in Mississippi. Both census show five children born in Rusk Co. TX.

William Watson is listed as the father of Matthew John Watson on his death certificate, filed on the 19th day of January, 1924.

William B. Watson served under Captain James M. Barton's Co. G.., 10th Texas Volunteer Cavalry. Organized July 1861, at Belleview, Rusk Co.. He was a 3rd. sergeant. sources: 1860, p. 177 R.R. Co., p. 15; Hist. of Rusk Co., p. 154 RHC

The William B. Watson family lived in the Millville Community located on F.M. road 782 north of the town of Henderson, Texas. They had ten children living in Rusk County,Texas in 1860. They were still living there in 1870 and 1880. but both of the parents must have died between 1870 and 1880. I do not know where they are buried, but I have been told that Emily is buried in Peatown Cemetery, Gregg Co. TX in an unmarked grave. Their son Matthew John and wife and children are buried at Millville Cemetery
