If you're looking to help our family genealogy grow, then this page is for you.
We're specificaly looking for the following:
- If you have a scanner -
Scan family photos and documents - Not just yours, but any family member near you who has something to contribute.
- If you have a digital camera -
Visit cemeteries, houses, and other places of historical importance to our family. In our cemeteries section, I have cemeteries listed that need to be visited and the names of family burried there.
That list though is not complete, so if you know something that I don't, let me know.
If you would like any location info for things near you or tips, send me an email.
- If you have pics or documents only -
No scanner? Let me know, I may be able to put you in contact with someone who can scan them for you.
Alternatively, you can mail them to me and I can scan them - I'll pay the cost to ship them back along with the digital copy I just made.
I would recomend getting delivery confirmation/insurance, and I'll do the same. Email me if thats an option for you.
I'm building a database of everything right now - even family photo albums. In researching, I've realized what natural and other disasters can do to our history records.
Many times I've looked for specific info on someone, only to find that the church that held the info burned down 150 years ago and took with it the only copies of the records.
Another example is fire or flood ruining family photos.
I started with my photo album and have since moved to a couple others from close family members.
Unless you specificaly request me to do so, the photos of currently living family members will never be put on the web server.
