Galveston Island, TX (1871) - After the great hurricane of 1900, the island was raised
by about 13-17 feet. Many of the original geographical features in this map are long
since burried.
I have a much larger version of this map which shows detail
down to the people walking in the street. Its about 12 MB but I can make arrangements
to get it to you if interested.
