Mona had 3 children from a previous marriage and married William Watson (Sr) on April 24, 2000 in Galveston, Texas while the two were on vacation there visiting family. She and William resided in Lumberton, New Jersey, where she suffered and ultimately passed away from the complications of Lupus. She is burried in the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery on Carranza Road in Tabernacle, New Jersey.
