The North Bend Bed and Breakfast in North Bend, PA

Taken from a leaflet for the North Bend Bed and Breakfast

~~~~~~~~~~ Located on the North bend of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, the North Bend Bed and Breakfast is in itself a piece of history. Lumbermen, James and Joseph Bailey, and Robert Miller (their father-in-law) came to the area in 1871 from Chester County and constructed this house. They had originally built this house for their families. They later decided to move, and sold the house to H.M. Webster, who resided with them. He and his wife Mariana lived there for about 10 years, then due to financial difficulties led them to move to a former school house. The title of the house then proceeded to go to his daughter, Stella Webster. Since then the house has had several owners, including the Klinefelder family who operated a store and dance hall in a large building on the property. Now owned by Barbara and John Mastriania the house continues as a bed and breakfast. The furnishings feature some antiques...
